We Have Connections Everywhere
KMPC is a member church of Greater Barboursville Community Outreach, an ecumenical and grassroots organization that seeks to care for the underserved in Barboursville.
GBCO is a group of volunteers from area churches who came together in February 2014, after recognizing that even in this prosperous community we have neighbors who struggle with hunger, isolation and other basic needs.
GBCO serves a free meal the last Saturday of each month to help neighbors with limited incomes stretch their food budget, and to welcome anybody who would like to enjoy a hearty meal and companionship.
We meet once a quarter to plan, learn and try to meet emergency needs as fellow neighbors and volunteers. We join forces to help as we are able—neighbor to neighbor. We learn together and share information about community resources that can aid with other needs.
How you can join us in reaching out: Continue to give to Cabell County’s food banks, charities and other important programs that are the “safety net” for our many working poor, vulnerable and disabled neighbors. Visit their Facebook Group Page if you're interested in becoming a part.
