Faith-Building Opportunities at KMPC
We believe that a thoughtful Christian is a faithful Christian. We also happen to believe that doubt and questions aren't signs of a faith in crisis or trouble, but an encouraging sign of an ever-growing faith. Throughout the year, we gather together for Bible study and fellowship.
Sunday School
From Labor Day to Memorial Day, we gather together for Sunday School from 10-11am. We have Sunday School classes for ages K-5th grade, 6th-12th grade, graduated high school-young adult (define that how you will), and an older adult class. These classes are lively, fun, and good for both the head and heart!
K-5th grade meets in our downstairs classroom, 6th-12th grade in our upstairs classroom, young adults in the Pastor's office upstairs, and the older adults in the Chapel upstairs.
Choir
Did you know that singing with others has tremendous physical and mental benefits? It's true. It doesn't matter to us if you have perfect pitch or if the only thing you can muster is to make a joyful noise, we would love to have you lend your voice to our church Choir! Choir Practice is on Wednesdays between Labor Day and Memorial Day in the Sanctuary from 7:00-8:00pm.
Bible Book Club
Throughout each month, we encourage you to make your way through a different book (or books) of the bible by following a reading plan. At the end of the reading plan, we gather together to discuss what we read--bringing our unanswered questions, our troubles, our discoveries, and our insights to the group in a book club fashion. It's a wonderful way to read through scripture in community!
Women's Circle Bible Study
Between Labor Day and Memorial Day, this bible study group meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month. Women's Circle is a group of women who gather together for fun, learning, and dessert at 7:00pm in the Fellowship Hall downstairs.
Advent and Lenten Weekly Bible Studies
Every Wednesday during both Advent and Lent, Pastor Patrick offers a themed bible study that encourages deeper reflection upon each the Advent and Lenten seasons.
Youth Group Mission and Fellowship Opportunities
Our youth gather together throughout the year for mission and service projects in and for our community as well as for fellowship. They are a lively group who loves to serve others and is eager to grow in faith and service. Our youth make their way to camps and conferences like Bluestone and Montreat every summer.
